I didn’t plan to marry a reclusive heiress. Lucky for me, I find myself attracted to my beautiful new bride. Our arranged marriage connects two powerful companies. That we’re compatible between the sheets is a bonus, but I didn’t bargain on her ex showing up at the wedding reception uninvited.

That pushed me right over the edge.

I protect what’s mine, and Charlotte is now mine, whether she likes it or not. Our honeymoon is a disaster in paradise. I’m angry. She’s resentful. All those swirling emotions explode in the most physical ways.

But even as I’m drawn closer to my new wife, there’s still a threat looming out there. Seamus McTiernan is determined to destroy what we’ve created.

I won’t let anything tear us apart.

He has no idea who he’s dealing with. I will end him.

Watch me.

“Perry Constantine looks at me as if I might be someone special.”

TVD_CarolineKlaus_Kiss

Let’s cut straight to the chase— Ever since Perry was first introduced as Winston Constantine’s jovial younger brother in Stroke of Midnight, his story has been HIGHLY anticipated, and let me tell you… it was well worth the wait!

The intense build-up between Perry and Charlotte was palpable and had my tongue lolling out from complete excitement! 😍 This book was my introduction to Murphy’s writing, and it could not have been a more perfect start! Well-paced storytelling with tons of anticipation and unpredictability. With dual points of view, you see the interesting dynamic between these two protagonists and their impressions of one another. What I hadn’t expected but ultimately ended up loving the most was the humour weaved throughout Perry’s and Charlotte’s interactions. The second-guessing, the pre-judgements, and the banter were all entertaining to see, each conversation getting more and more giddy-inducing! In my opinion, it’s one of the main elements that made their story engaging from start to finish.

An arranged marriage with a gradual romantical development. Seeing Perry and Charlotte navigate through their emotions after the bombshell their families abruptly dropped on them with the expectancy to follow through no questions asked will have you instantly invested in their story.

I was hooked on both their character growth and their complex relationship, especially after getting to know each of their backstories. Perry Constantine is everything I thought he was and more! He’s definitely one striking Constantine. He oozes easy-going hero with sexy protective alpha vibes. He has both gentlemanly ways and cool confidence that makes him such an appealing character.

Charlotte’s genuine, down-to-earth personality easily won me over. I found her sense of stubbornness, rebellious tendencies, and desire for independence from her claustrophobic and overbearing family made me root for her to succeed.

Overall, a strong well-written plot, with vivid world-building that screamed wealth, exclusivity, and luxury. Discovering both protagonists to be such likable characters who together had incredibly titillating chemistry, there was never a dull moment. 😉

The Constantine clan along with a cast of secondary characters added extra dimension to their whirlwind arrangement. You may already be familiar with the Lancasters if you’ve read Things I Wanted To Say (But Never Did). If not, you may just find yourself curious to learn more about Charlotte’s family after reading this one.

✔ Billionaire Romance

✔ Arranged Marriage

✔ Fake Relationship

✔ Opposites Attract

✔ Forced Proximity

✔ Slow Burn

This book is the first in The Arranged Marriage trilogy and ends on a fairly reasonable cliffhanger. We’ve only scratched the surface of Perry’s and Charlotte’s story and with how things concluded, I am eagerly counting the days until the next book! Can easily be read in one sitting, it’s another unbelievably gripping addition to the Midnight Dynasty! An honest-to-goodness must-read romance story that I highly recommend!

RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½

— EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT —

I wrap my arms around his neck as he pulls me into the office and closes the door behind him. Not bothering to deny his words, seeking his strength and command, I whisper, “I feel…”

I don’t know what else to say, how else to resist a man so able to shatter my every resistance. Everything about this is wrong. So very wrong. I’m his captive. Nothing more.

I run my fingertips up the center of his chest and then across to his upper arms. Desire floods through me as I touch him. Not attempting to strike him or push him away. No, I want to stroke his flesh, to feel his muscles flexing beneath my fingertips, each caress increasing the heat that swamps my senses.

He holds me still, lowering his head, kissing the side of my neck with parted lips. He seduces me not with force, but with gentleness. “Tell me to stop,” he commands. “I want to steal the kiss. I want to steal your body. I want to take what is mine.”

I shake my head. I’m not going to obey him on this. I don’t think I can survive if he pulls away again. I don’t want to risk him actually stopping if I say so. Not when my entire body is on fire with a need that has to be quenched.

“No.” It’s the only word I can barely whisper. Speech is conquered by sexual need. “You don’t have to take. I want to give.”

In one quick movement, Nick scoops me up into his arms and carries me to his desk. My body melts against the hardness of his chest, my tongue dancing with his in the depths of his mouth.

I need more, need to feel his skin against mine.

Hastily, I pull his jacket off, his shirt up over his head, and run my hands down his chest. I revel in how smooth and sleek his skin feels against my fingertips, each muscle clearly defined. Sexual attraction takes on a whole other meaning at that moment.

Nick moans as he kisses me deeper, guiding me onto the wood of the table below. With movements as graceful as a skilled craftsman, he removes my clothing, drawing the dress over my head and lowering my panties effortlessly. I shiver, not with cold, but with need. I moan when he removes my bra, his fingertips running over my breasts, each stroke a promise of what’s to come.

My entire body screams for his touch as he lowers his head and gives both of my nipples a kiss, his hands sliding down to slip beneath the curve of my ass. I lift my hips to ease the journey, my heart demanding he hurry, my soul aching for him to take me. To claim me as his.

Despite my whimpers, my pleas to plunge into me, to fill my empty pussy, he takes his time, my mind swirling as he places soft kisses over every inch of skin he’s exposed. Pleasure escalates with each touch and with every moment I lay beneath his weight, but it’s too slow.

“Now,” I demand. “I need you, now.” Reaching for him, I find my hands taken, my arms lifted above my head.

“You’re not running the show,” he says, guiding my hands to the sides of the desk. “Grab on and don’t let go.”

Not sure if the wood feels cold because I am so hot, so needy, I welcome the coolness as I wrap my fingers around the edge. The very act of obeying, of submission, causes my mind to rebel but only for the briefest moment as Nick settles over my body.

His entire being screams primal male, and my whole body shudders, my desire ratcheting higher. His thick thighs hug either side of my hips; his pants undone with his cock, standing straight out from his body, lying along my stomach, hard as a rod of steel, thick and heavy.

My mouth floods with saliva, the desire to lick up his shaft, has my tongue running along my bottom lip, and my hand moving to reach for the cock I so desperately need to taste.

“No,” he says, instantly reaching to capture my hand, guiding it back to the desk.

“But I want to touch you,” I nearly hiss in need.

“It’s not about what you want, it’s what you need,” he says.

• MY REVIEW •

“Ladies and gentlemen, sinners and saints…”

VanHelsing_MasqueradeBall

This is my first book from Alta Hensley and it had me on a roller-coaster ride of emotions and jumbled thoughts. I’m still trying to process it all. I’ve never been a big fan of the classic tale of Alice in Wonderland, but I have to hand it to Hensley for cleverly weaving significant features of it into a modern, twistedly erotic romance story of her own.

A balance of a strong storyline, unpredictability, and romantic elements is what usually has me hooked on a romance story from start to finish, but weirdly enough with this book, I ended up becoming more intrigued by the gradual development of the main plot more than the romance aspect going on between Nick and Lyriope. It’s rare that I get more absorbed and invested in the overall story progression than the protagonists connecting romantically in my romance reads. Whilst there’s plenty of hot and heavy scenes between Nick and Lyriope, I did struggle soaking it all in— and that’s more to do with my preferences with certain sexual content included in the romance books I read.

If you like elements of dom/sub in your erotic romances, then you might enjoy the vivid sexual content included in King Of Spades a lot more than I did. There’s some questionable con/non-con as well that wasn’t really to my liking, but I know a lot of dark romance readers who don’t bat an eye at these types of interactions between the leading characters. But if you have any hang-ups with any of these tropes, it’s probably best you give this one a miss.

What I did end up loving about this book was it definitely captured the essence of Alice in Wonderland, from the tea parties, to the Alice down the “rabbit hole”, to the constant unpredictability as the story developed. Hensley has created such world-building that consisted of magic and a sense of wonderment from beginning to end that had me completely enveloped. The way she fused Nick’s Wonderland into the already existing world of the Constantines and the Morellis, it not only expanded but added-in an entirely new dimension to their world.

“I love making rules. But I love consequences more.”

With the introduction of a few new secondary characters and appearances from existing ones from the Midnight Dynasty world it added another layer and a cool contrast amongst their interactions. I’m a fan of brotherhood and bromance, and there’s an entertaining yet endearing friendship in this story that not only unsuspectingly uplifts the mood but will have you giggling at times.

It’s a relatively quick read, with a steady but gradual build-up of the storytelling. It’s told from dual points of view and I found both protagonists fascinating the more their personal stories were shared. King of Spades is the first book in the Wonderland Trilogy, but I highly recommend you read The White Rabbit first. It’s the prologue and in my opinion a great introduction to not only their world but to the two leading characters who become intricately wrapped-up in each other’s lives. I also like that the prologue is somewhat of a teaser for readers new to Hensley, and what you can expect from her writing.

I know my rating may not necessarily reflect my overall experience of reading this book, but make no mistake I did enjoy it. The only reason why I hadn’t rated it higher is solely because I wasn’t a complete fan of the sexual content in this book. There’s a couple of scenes between Nick and Lyriope that I felt elevated their budding relationship and made their coupling credible, but there were plenty of parts that I felt didn’t necessarily add any further complexity to their relationship and was possibly intended more for readers who enjoy having a lot more raunchiness in their romance reads. As I mentioned earlier, its more about preferences. To each their own. ✌

Nevertheless, I would still recommend King of Spades. There’s plenty of romance readers out there who I have no doubt will love it. Anyone who loves an adult Alice in Wonderland inspired romance story, with a captor/captive, contractual agreement plotline will be intrigued by Nick’s and Lyriope’s unique arrangement and growing bond.

It’s a great introduction to Nick and Lyriope as new additions to the Midnight Dynasty world, and whilst there’s beginnings of character growth from both, I’m hoping to see a lot more in the next book. King of Spades is filled with suspense, danger, and desire… and with how the story unraveled and concluded, it leaves behind a sense of endless possibilities.

Wonderland… Enter at own risk. 😉

• BLURB •

All I wanted is for my little sister Della to be safe and happy. And maybe, in brief stolen moments, I dreamed of a happy ending for myself with a brown-eyed man. That hope has turned into sharp, bright fear. There’s only survival now.

I’m the daughter of a controlling and cruel billionaire, so I understand about power. But I find myself fighting anyway. I find myself testing them.

I have claws and I bite. I’m not going down without a fight.

It’s like I have a death wish.

•••

• MY REVIEW •

The conclusion to the Deception Duet was nothing short of drama, eroticism, and fresh beginnings. If Triple Threat was a kiddie pool for reverse harem, then Death Wish was a doggy-paddle through the deep end. I was not prepared for the change of pacing or scenery, and although there were certain parts I enjoyed, I’ll admit I was still clutching my metaphorical pearls for a lot of this book too! 🙈😅

“Ours. Ours. Ours.”

KissToTheNeck

I loved the first book, and whilst this one didn’t live up to my expectations, I still recommend this duet as whole to fellow dark romance readers and fans of the Midnight Dynasty world.

But in saying that, if you’re not a fan, or you’re not familiar with what you can expect from a reverse harem romance, then in my opinion you may want to give this one a miss. It’s heavy on sexual content.

This duet contains sensitive subject matters that may be offensive or triggering for some readers, such as domestic abuse, child abuse, sexual assault, violence and mature themes. Intended for readers 18+ only.

It’s a relatively quick full-length novel that you can easily read in one sitting. This is definitely one of those “it’s me, not you” type of books. I don’t think it’ll be for everyone’s taste. But I can say that I’ve read a few of Webster’s books and I always find her writing gets you intrigued right from the get-go. Considering the “terror triplets” are a pretty cruel villainous set of characters when they were first introduced with little to no chance of redemption, Webster has proven that some of the most devilish, most disturbing antagonists can still be loved. The Deception Duet is a prime example and by the end of this duet, you will be seeing these brothers in a more positive light.

I was happy to see the suspense and unpredictability that was built-up in Triple Threat continued onto this book. Other than their identical appearances, the brothers have plenty of things in common, but what proved to be an interesting dynamic are their differences, mostly when dealing with Landry. With multiple POVs, I ended looking forward to seeing the perspectives switch back and forth amongst them.

The initial premise of Triple Threat was what had me curious to see how the “Terror Triplets” would progress from villains to antiheroes. I loved the gradual story development, but in my opinion, it felt a little bit of a hit and miss in this second half. In my opinion it focused a lot more on Landry’s raunchy relationship with each brother more so than anything else. The serious matters that Landry and her younger sister had been forced into took a backseat to the smutty components of the book. The storyline wasn’t as in-depth as I would’ve liked, and the ending felt slightly abrupt.

The biggest thing (and probably the most surprising) is how much my preference changed from the first book to this one, and I think that has a lot to do with how each brothers’ character was developed, especially now that the setting has changed and we’ve set foot on their turf.

My favourite brother from the first book ended up relatively in the background in comparison to the other two, which I admittedly found disappointing. It’s quite obvious early-on that there’s one brother in particular who plays a bigger role and special connection with Landry. It wasn’t necessary a bad development— it was actually entertaining to see, but it didn’t necessarily come off fair for the other two.

Although seeing the complexity, contrast, and dynamics between these brothers was a major highlight. It was both interesting and at times amusing to see their brotherly banter and comradery.

Be on the lookout to see a few character crossovers from other books in the Midnight Dynasty. *waggles brows* 😉

Despite how the storyline played-out and eventually concluded, I’m still glad I took a chance on getting to know these brothers’ story since Skyscraper Cinderella (aka The Cinderella Trilogy). Death Wish wasn’t quite to my liking but nevertheless, Triple Threat is one of my favourite books from the Midnight Dynasty world, and why I would still recommend fellow romance readers to give their story a go.

Bianca has finally found her rightful place amid the powerful Constantines. But all is not what it seems in this glittering new world. And Tiernan Morelli refuses to give up her up…

BEAUTIFUL NIGHTMARE is the final book in the Dark Dream duet by USA Today bestselling author Giana Darling.

•••

• MY REVIEW •

“She was too good and I was too bad, but life wasn’t black and white, and somehow, together, we made more sense than we did separately. Night and day. Ice and fire. A matched set.”

Scarlett_Daydreaming

This was one emotional, drama-filled rollercoaster of an ending to the Dark Dream duet, let me tell ya! There are a lot of parts I enjoyed seeing play-out, but there were also a few that I felt it could’ve done without, or that it was just a smidge anti-climactic.

After the cliffhanger from Dangerous Temptation that left me itching to find out what happens to Bianca and Tiernan next, I had some relatively high expectations of Beautiful Nightmare. I was left with quite a handful of questions that I needed answers to, and a cast of supporting characters I wanted to see more of.

So, did this book deliver what I hoped it would?

Yes… and no.

Whilst there’s character growth from both protagonists with a progressive storyline, I can’t help but wonder if it could’ve been more in-depth? I just wasn’t as gripped with this book as I was with the first one. Maybe this is one instance where it’s more of an “it’s me, not you” situation because I just didn’t get the intensity and edge-of-your-seat vibe that would’ve otherwise had me effortlessly glued to the pages.

Tiernan Morelli is the outcast of his family who’s been tormented physically, emotionally, and mentally throughout his life, and seeing him turn his life around and finally come from behind the shadows of not only his father, but his siblings was one of those fist-pumping moments. But call me bloodthirsty, with how this story was progressing to a gradual build-up, I was expecting to see action-packed scenes that actually packed a wallop! In my opinion, it was a bit of a hit and miss at times.

But in saying that, the more the story proceeded, the more I was hooked on his character development and personal story. More so than Bianca’s— and I think that has a lot to do with her youthful, naïve character. There’s no doubt that Tiernan and Bianca have this intense yet fitting chemistry between them, but Bianca has a lot of adolescent rebelliousness to her that often than not got her into some deep shite. There’s drama, and then there’s eye-rolling drama. 😬🙄

This book ended up being one of those books where I was more interested in seeing the secondary characters. Tiernan and Bianca’s relationship was hot, but I’m not going lie, the brotherhood and camaraderie amongst Tiernan and The Gentlemen of Lion Court was the highlight for me. I love a band of misfits who form their own family, and these guys were just that! Add in the light-hearted comic relief of Bianca’s little brother into the fold, and the friendship within just elevated my reading experience!

With the exception of a few plotlines being a little more fast-paced resulting in abrupt conclusions, for the most part it’s relatively well-paced storytelling. There’s twists and turns, some more predictable than others, but not enough to put you off from continuing. Although it’s told from dual points of view, for a tortured-antihero-loving-reader like myself, Tiernan’s perspective is the one to lookout for. He’s a complicated character with a lot of struggles and battle scars, and getting an insight into his mentality is one of the more appealing aspects of this story.

“The heartless Tiernan Morelli has fallen.”

Side Note: I’ve read the majority of the books in the Midnight Dynasty and all the characters have similar views on their family dynamics with the head of their respective households being the main source of concern. Here’s a silly question— with all the resources, power, and energy these siblings have, why oh why haven’t Bryant Morelli and Caroline Constantine been “taken out” yet?!! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ (Hmm. There goes my thirst for bloodshed rearing its ugly head again). Lol.

This book may not have held the same level of oomph Dangerous Temptation did, looking back at their story as whole (the entire duet) I’m still left contented. The expansion of the Midnight Dynasty world with the Constantines and the Morellis will always have me intrigued. The addition of Tiernan Morelli was an unexpected yet happy surprise. Not only did we get another swoon-worthy Morelli brother in our midst, but he added another layer and contrast to the entire Morelli clan. The world-building is ever-growing and I’m finding the more books are added, the more intricate the Midnight Dynasty world becomes.

I’m curious to see what the epilogue entails *as this review went live, the exclusive epilogue had yet to be released*. But in the meantime, I can proudly say I’ve ticked off “guardian/ward taboo romance” off my romance trope list! 🤭🙌

A contemporary, billionaire romance with an edge of just deserts! This duet is not to be missed if you’re working your way through the Midnight Dynasty books.

I’m a prisoner in a prestigious world.
A perfect princess locked in a tower.
My father will never let me go.

Not that I could leave. I would never abandon my little sister. Hope comes in the form of a devilishly handsome man with dark eyes and darker secrets.

With each encounter, I’m lured deeper into the labyrinth. The danger lurking beneath his surface calls to me, even as it warns me away.

Except there’s a new side of him every time we meet. A different danger each time we touch. It’s as if three different men want to devour me.

He’s not just one villain. He’s three.

“There’s just something about him that makes me want to tell him everything. He draws me to him. Even his secrets call to me. I want to know him. And that scares the hell out of me.”

TVD_Caroline_Crying

Dammit! I knew there was a probability that I could end up liking this book. But guess what? I ended up loving the hell out of it! 🖤 Webster has beautifully and masterfully made me feel for the terror triplets! The sickeningly cruel evil-stepbrothers from the Cinderella Trilogy went from your two-dimensional villains in “Cinderella’s fairy tale”, to complex three-dimensional anti-heroes who finally have their turn at sharing their POVs.

I, like many other readers who read the initial Cinderella Trilogy that introduced these brothers, felt the story pretty much cemented them as unredeemable characters and that was the end of that. Oh man… Triple Threat says otherwise.

🤔 Not going to lie, I went into this book with uncertainty. Firstly, wondering how Webster could possibly turn the triplets’ character arcs around so they weren’t complete assholes in our eyes, and secondly, questioning what my first ever reverse harem romance story experience would be like?

After having finished the book, I can happily (and safely) say it was a bangin’ start to my 2022 reads! The story is told through multiple POVs, each brother taking in turn to not only keep up the story development, but in sharing their own individual opinions and perspectives on certain matters. You quickly discover that although they’re identical in appearance (for the most part, anyways), they each have distinct differences in personality. And I can admit I do have a favourite triplet! *waggles brows* 🙈😅

It’s relatively fast-paced storytelling, that keeps you in suspense from beginning to end. Not only was I fascinated with getting to know more about each sibling, I was just as quick to get invested in their heroine; Landry, who has quite an unsettling story of her own to share.

I didn’t agree with a lot of Landry’s (or her sister’s) actions, but I am intrigued with how their story will play out, and they do provide contrast to the storyline and cast.

A big part of what had kept my attention was seeing how in-depth the story ended up becoming. It had layer upon layer of intense build-up, continuous character evolvement, and with each brother gradually developing their own relationship with Landry, the storyline became more intricate.

I was honestly stunned speechless with how fast I found Sparrow, Sully, and Scout to be such likable characters. After having read the Cinderella Trilogy, I went into this story with an idea of what these guys are capable of. They’re villainous, brutal, and tend to fly off the handle, but Webster has now given them a lot more dimension to their characters, and things from their perspective places them in a whole new light.

The brothers have a complex and what seems like an unbreakable bond with one another that I found understandable (as they are triplets), yet oddly a little… screwy? There’s a ton of game-playing and a sense of psychological warfare amongst them that has me wanting the full extent of their history to see how they’ve become so competitive.

The unpredictable elements showed both vulnerable moments and also resulted in some pretty saucy scenes, so you’re getting a nice balance of features and constantly keeps things interesting.

“The thing with angels, though, is they’re easy to drag to the dark side.”

TVD_CarolineStefan_HotKiss

The terror triplets have officially joined the ranks in the Midnight Dynasty and this book surprisingly ended up becoming one of my favourites from the ever-expanding world.

I would absolutely recommend it to fellow romance readers who love them a little darkish, a little cheeky, and a whole lot dramatic! For a reverse harem romance newbie, I personally think this is a great story to dip your toes into the trope because Webster has written these characters and their story in a way that gives you time to get know them and to get used to the idea that they’re all making a connection with the same woman, without it being too in-your-face and/or overly-filled with heavy sexual content.

If you haven’t read the Cinderella Trilogy, I do recommend reading those books first before starting this one to give you a better understanding of how the brothers came to be in their current situation.

Triple Threat is book one of the Deception Duet, and it concludes on a cliffhanger. It contains sensitive subject matters that may be triggering for some readers such as, child abuse, sexual assault, and violence. It is intended for readers 18+ only.

I’m anticipating the next book to see if the brothers come full circle. Will these villains have redemption? Will they all have a happily ever after? Will they find their niche in a world full of Constantines and Morellis? And what about Landry? There’s so much to look forward to, and I can only hope Death Wish won’t be too far along. 🤞

RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½

People like to say the devil made them do it. And they would be right. I can bend anyone to my will. After all, I am the devil of Pembroke Prep. Only one person dares defy me. The one person I’ve ever wanted to be an angel for. But she despises me almost as much as I crave her. Serafina van Doren is the one temptation I can’t indulge, not with the secrets that I keep. But with the clock running out maybe it’s time to tempt her to the dark side.

• MY REVIEW •

Oh sweet baby devil, this was one hell of a smoking hot, yet torturous love story! When it came to Serafina and Rhys I didn’t know whether to fan my face from all the blush-inducing scenes, or cry frustrated tears from all their taunting moments. 🙈 Either way I thoroughly enjoyed every little bit of their story!

“I smiled a little at the opportunity to have Sera all to myself. No friends, no underlings. Just us. The devil and the queen.”

Their romance was a long time coming since they were first introduced in Wicked Idol. Their intriguing dynamic only build-up suspense as more books in the series followed and it quickly became evident that they had quite an interesting history.

GG_Reboot_Whitney_Eyeroll

Like all the books prior, this had a zingy atmosphere that crackled whenever its protagonists were in near vicinity of one another. The banter was exhilarating and the constant one-upmanship between Sera and Rhys was as entertaining as it was jaw-dropping to see. 😈🤭

What I hadn’t expected from this story was the emotional rollercoaster ride that Rhys would take us on with his backstory and how much of his past is influencing his present day life. Have tissues nearby, because I have no doubt you will be as emotionally invested in Rhys and his story as much as I was.

The story progression was well-paced, perhaps a little brisk at times. But there’s never a dull moment as it continuously went from one development to the next, gradually turning Sera’s and Rhys’ fiery teasing into something more in-depth and heartfelt.

“Falling in love is not for the weak or the faint-hearted, because you cannot command your heart to do what you need it to do.”

They’re both outstanding individuals, and what I like about each of them is although this is ultimately a romance story, there’s complexity to these characters and they navigate through very real, very relatable life issues. I connected with Serafina’s struggles as a POC no matter her family’s high social standing. I found Rhys’ past and the impact it has had on his mentality understandable but nevertheless hard to swallow.

It was a relatively short read but it was punchy, multi-layered, and by the end left me feeling a sense of all is right with their world— as it should be. Told from dual POV, not only do we see character growth with these protagonists as they come to grips with their emotions, but it also provided insight to each of their lives outside of Pembroke Prep and into their contrasting family dynamics.

The suspense doesn’t disappoint. The band of supporting characters— the rest of the Hellfire boys and the girls who’ve all stolen their hearts have added extra oomph with their strong friendships and at times light-hearted and witty commentary. I ate up the unpredictability that came with Serafina and Rhys.

Overall, I thought it was a truly beautiful, bittersweet ending to the Hellfire Club. The much-anticipated wait for Serafina’s and Rhys’ story was well worth it. It ended up being the book from the series that evoked the deepest emotional outburst *cough* ugly cry *cough* out of me. I loved it and just like the previous books, this is one I will read again and again whenever I miss these charming Hellfire boys!

“Some things are worth the heartbreak.”

It really is the only set of books that had the right amount of pull in bringing me back to reading high school/ NA fiction again. I would absolutely recommend not just this book but the entire series to friends who love reading romance. With Rhys as the devil in disguise and Serafina as his goddess, their story had strong “love conquers all” vibes that was the perfect closer to the series.
