Swoon Release Day Teaser

#Swoon is now live! 💗

Happy Release Day, Lauren Rowe!

Growing up, I knew my older brother’s best friend thought of me as “Logan’s kid sister.” For me, though, our next-door neighbor, Colin, felt like anything but a sibling. Whenever I spied on him through my bedroom window, as he banged away, shirtless, on his drum kit, I felt sensations inside me I’d never felt for my actual brother. But when we moved away and Colin’s band took off like a rocket, I knew my tweener fantasies would never become a reality.⁣

Fast-forward nine years to my brother’s wedding, when I saw Colin again and we shared a secret, drunken kiss that rocked my world. The next morning, Colin blamed the alcohol. Said we should pretend the kiss, and my unfortunate text afterward, never happened. ⁣

Now that I’m heading to LA to work for Colin and crash at his place, though, all bets are off. I’m determined to make Colin swoon for me, the same way I’ve always done for him. Because no matter what he insisted, Colin’s body during our kiss, and the shocking thing he whispered into my ear right afterward, made it clear he doesn’t really think of me as his little sister, any more than I do.

Twenty minutes later, I’ve successfully pulled two more massive orgasms out of Amy, exactly like I thought I would—though neither one was a squirter—which means she’s now a glorious, moaning animal who can’t stop begging me to fuck her. I’d love to keep going, but I’m too turned on. Plus, I have a feeling, if I don’t get inside her now, she’ll pass out from exhaustion and the holy grail will elude me.

Panting with excitement, I release Amy’s soft cuffs, place a pillow underneath her lower back to maximize my angle and ensure maximum friction with her clit, draw her arms above her head, and plunge myself deep inside her like a man possessed.

At the invasion of my body inside hers, Amy growls and squeezes my hands, while I grunt and groan with relief and pleasure. Oh, my fuck, heaven itself couldn’t feel more pleasurable than this. She’s as wet and warm and perfectly molded to me as I’ve ever felt. I feel drugged by the sensations of pleasure overtaking me as my body rocks in and out of Amy’s feverishly. I feel physically drugged. Like someone has shot physical bliss straight into my bloodstream.

My head spinning, I grind myself against Amy’s clit with each beastly thrust, and, within minutes, I feel Amy’s innermost muscles tighten and clench sharply around my cock, letting me know she’s all cued up. I whisper into her ear for a bit, saying everything I know works best on her. And soon, forceful waves of pleasure begin milking my cock, launching me straight into the most eye roll-inducing, intense orgasm of my life. By far. The pleasure gripping me, slamming into me, is so profound, so merciless, so consuming, in fact, for a moment I feel in serious danger of passing out.

As my body explodes and my vision literally blurs, I collapse, and then lie still on top of Amy for a long moment, trying to catch my breath.

That’s when I finally process something I just heard Amy say, in the midst of all that pleasure. Hold up. Did Amy say she loves me, in the middle of that euphoric mutual orgasm, or did I imagine that? Because I’m ninety-nine percent sure I heard Amy say the “L” word just now. Loudly. Shit.

As the euphoria I’ve been feeling fades, a slight panic begins taking its place. Did she say she loves me? Oh, fuck. I think she did. Which means I’ve definitely let things get way too intense, too fast here. This is only day two of Amy’s weeklong sexual education, for fuck’s sake, and I already feel like we’re butting up against the outer boundaries of our agreed-upon “no-strings” arrangement. Why’d I tell Amy all that stuff at breakfast? Why’d I open up like that? I’ve never told anyone that stuff. So, why’d I think it’d be a good idea to tell her?

Okay, that settles it. I need to cool my jets. Slow things down. Stop running off at the mouth. From now on, I need to remember our arrangement. No strings. No promises. No leading her on to think otherwise. It’s one thing to role-play being Amy’s fantasy man and another thing to start believing it myself. One of us has to keep a clear head here—remember this isn’t a fairytale and I’m not her Prince Charming. And that person is going to be me.

Australian Reading Hour

Hiya! This post is a little different from my usual reviews and teasers but wanted to just stop by with a quick mention that it’s #AustralianReadingHour today! 😊

It’s an awesome annual campaign that encourages Aussies of all ages to take at least an hour of the day to read! How cool is that?!

I caught onto it about two years ago. It was all due to Bookstagram and the great community there that I was made aware of it in the first place. Although I love reading daily, I enjoy participating and helping share awareness of this campaign!

Any fellow Aussies who want to join in, please do! Post anything book related or like me, your current read and use the hashtag #AustralianReadingHour

And make sure to spend an hour READING! 📖📖📖

This year with the pandemic and lockdowns currently in place, a new hashtag has been added to the campaign #AustraliaReadsAtHome to really get Aussies to use some of their time to read whilst at home.

Hope everyone is staying safe and keeping healthy. Happy reading and as always, catch you guys in my next one! Xo

I’m currently reading Fragile Longing by Cora Reilly! So far, so good! 😍

(Keep a lookout for my review coming soon!)

Tag Tuesdays: YA Frenzy

Jon_HappyDanceYay! My first official blog book tag, and to commemorate this occasion I’ve decided to start “Tag Tuesdays” 😀

So if I get nominated for any more tags, keep a look out for them on Tuesdays. Easy to remember, right?

Tagged by: Casey @ adoptabookaus ← check out her blog out! 🙂

[The YA Frenzy Tag was created by: icebreaker694 ]

Here are the Rules:

  1. Read through the Q&A.
  2. Answer the questions posted in your own post
  3. Choose at least 3 to 5 other bloggers to participate!

1. What book got you started on the path of YA?

I started reading YA in my teens (ha!..typical), which was many years ago (I’m 30 now. OMG) and I would say I read a lot of Harry Potter but since it’s not really in the YA category.. my next best answer would be Twilight. I know some of you will probably cringe after reading that answer but I’m one of those people who’s not ashamed to admit that I loved Twilight when it came out (before the movies and twihard fandom came about) and I still like it this day. The Twilight series will always have a place in my heart because it got me to start reading YA books! 🙂 #noshame

2. List 3 awesome book related gifs, add your own captions.

When the protagonist says/ does something they know they shouldn’t but still does it anyways:

*Slams the book shut* Stop it! Stop it now!

When you realise the idiot girl is going to choose the “other” guy:

NOOOOOO!! *tears up*

When a friend finally starts reading a book and you realise you can start fangirling together:

AHH FINALLY!! Dude, welcome to the club!

3. What is one thing you hate in YA? What is one thing you love?

This is not just in YA but..I hate it when characters (who I’ve invested my time and love in) die unexpected or by the end of the book end up somewhere that you don’t like. It feels unfair and lacking in some way.

One thing I love is the world YA takes me into. I never know what it’s going to be like until I start reading and once I’m deep in it, I’m really DEEEEEP in it! (if that makes sense lol) and it’s even better when you get to visit these worlds again when another book comes out in the series!

4. Take this Buzzfeed quiz and post your results. The quiz is “Are You Able to Identify the Real YA Cover From the Fake?”

You got 10 out of 10 right!
Golden Bookworm
You’re a gold-standard bookworm! You can definitely identify your YA covers like a BOSS. Never stop getting your read on.
*Phew!* I wasn’t familiar with a couple of the book covers, talk about lucky guesses! 😛

Blogs I Nominate for this Tag:

Catherine @ escapebyreadingblog

Ashley @ thenerdybookmark

Katie @ storyrealmblog

Kaye @ annbibliocastro

Had a great time putting this post together! Hope you guys like it! Whether I tagged you for this tag or not, hope you guys do this one too! 😛 Happy reading and catch you guys next time! ♥

Liebster Award Nominee

the-liebster-awardI have been nominated by Casey from adoptabookaus 😉

This Liebster award is a great way for other bloggers/ viewers to find new blogs or get to know smaller blogs that they wouldn’t necessarily have discovered on their own.

← (If you’re nominated, copy the Liebster badge/button and add it onto your blog/post).

Check out the rules below ↓

  • Acknowledge the blog that nominated you and display the award.
  • Answer 11 question that the blog gives you.
  • Give 11 random facts about yourself.
  • Nominate 5-11 blogs you think are deserving of the award that have less than 200 followers.
  • Let the blogs know you have nominated them.
  • Give them 11 questions to answer.

Question and Answer Portion Time:

** These are my answers to Casey’s (@adoptabookaus) questions **

1. What Author do you own the most books from?

That’s an easy one. J.K Rowling. I’ve got multiple copies of the Harry Potter series, multiple copies of the illustrated version of the Philosopher’s Stone and multiple copies of the HP “textbooks”

Yes I needed multiple copies! Stop it with the looks!

2. What started you reading?

My sister got me started reading when I was about 11 years old. We used to read Sweet Valley High, Dolly and Sweet Dreams books. You guys remember those? Then it’s probably no surprise when Harry Potter came out, I fell in love with reading even more and the rest is history 🙂

3. What started you blogging?

After having started with bookstagram and goodreads first, I felt it wasn’t enough lol I wanted to start a blog so I could really post my thoughts on books without having to limit how much I wanted to say so I started looking at different blogging sites until I found WordPress and thought that this was the perfect platform for the type of blog I wanted to make.

4. Your favorite fictional couple?

I’m sure there are a lot of fictional couples I will eventually love in the near future but just to be a bit different, my fave couple at this moment would have to be Anna and Etienne (from Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins). Their relationship grew from friendship and for a fictional couple, they were very relatable, realistic and sincere.

Oh the feels!! ♥♥

5. A book you hate that everyone else loves?

I wouldn’t say I hate this book perse, I’ll just say that I didn’t like it compared to a lot of other bookworms out there. It’s The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. I had read so many positive, loving reviews on this book so I had high hopes going into it. But by the end I was seriously left underwhelmed. I won’t say anymore here coz geez..I already did a review on it. Go check it out later if want to read my full thoughts on it 😛

6. Books that made you want to throw them across the room (because of anger or feels):

Haha, this is another easy one. I read The Kiss Of Deception by Mary E. Pearson a little while back and let me tell you..Lia, Rafe and Kaden frustrated me to the max! I was stressed, anxious, giddy, irritated, beside myself.. you name it. I couldn’t sit still lol If I had the “don’t care” attitude I would’ve thrown the book multiple times whilst reading it but…it was too pretty and it’s a hardcover edition and it was prettyyy! You get the jist. I was throwing the book mentally haha 😉

7. Favorite book quote?

“Words are our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it” – Albus Dumbledore (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows)

8. Favorite underrated book?

Hmm..I been thinking about an answer to this one since yesterday. I seriously can’t think of any books that was underrated that I’ve read and liked.

9. If your house was flooding and you could only fit 5 books into your backpack to save them what would they be?

  • Harry Potter and Prisoner Of Azkaban
  • Throne Of Glass
  • Grimm’s Complete Fairy tales
  • Twilight
  • Anna And The French Kiss

10. Who do you like more? Batman or The Joker? Superman or Spiderman? Iron man or The hulk?

In general, Batman. But with all the Batman movies made, I’ve ended up hating how he’s portrayed so I’d go with The Joker. (I only liked Michael Keaton’s portrayal of Batman).

Superman or Spiderman?? Here are two more examples of characters that were ruined in the movies (except for Christopher Reeve’s Superman). But I did love watching Smallville with Tom Welling playing Clark Kent/ Superman in his younger years. Don’t get me started to the dud that is Spiderman… Superman wins this round.

Iron Man or The Hulk? Pffff..The Hulk of course!! Hulk SMASH!!

11. What is your favorite book? *evil cackles*

Oh man, you really think I’m going to answer this one? Begone, you wicked witch. You have no power here! 😛

Bonus Round: Random Facts About Me

  1. I’m left-handed. Which means I’m naturally creative and artistic 😀
  2. I still get asked for my ID because security guards/ bouncers don’t believe me when I tell them my age. Lol
  3. I’m a shorty at 5’1. I’m so short that I wouldn’t even get hired as a hobbit for one of Peter Jackson’s movies lol 😛
  4. When I’m not reading, I like to do origami. It has a calming, relaxing effect (kind of like the adult colouring books)
  5. I’m a photography enthusiast and I like taking trick perspective/ illusion photography.
  6. It’s not heights that gets to me, it’s the fear of falling that does
  7. I’m a scaredy-cat and will not watch a horror/ scary movie by choice
  8. I’ve always wanted a library like Belle’s from Beauty and the Beast
  9. I have a major sweet tooth. Always have since I was little and always will 😀
  10. I love lasagne possibly definitely more than Garfield.
  11. I prefer reading at night (before bed) than in the morning.

I nominate the following:

* Ashley → thenerdybookmark

* Kaye → annbibliocastro

* Catherine → escapebyreadingblog

* Jemima → jemimathebookaholic

* Casey → adoptabookaus (Casey nominated me and if I knew about this award earlier I would’ve nominated her ages ago 🙂 She’s already done the questions (twice) so there’s no need for her to do it a third time lol. Just wanted to put it out there that I nominate her too! 😀

My Questions for the Nominated:

1. What got you into blogging? (Typical question here lol)

2. What’s the first book that got you into reading? (Another typical question)

3. What’s your favourite and least favourite book genre?

4. Who would be your fictional bestie, mortal enemy and love interest?

5. Would you be a hero or villain and why?

6. If  a movie was being made about your life, which actor/ actress would portray you?

7. A book that exceeded your expectation?

8. If you could only be one of the following: A wizard, an x-men, a terminator or royalty – which one would you be?

9. If you had the chance to go back in time and change the course of one fictional story, who’s would it be and why?

10. When you’re not reading, what would you be doing instead?

11. If you had to ride on a public bus, where would you sit? At the front near the driver and a little old lady who can’t stop staring at you, at the back where it’s a little more crowded and the music is blaring or somewhere in the middle where people are gossiping?

Okay, phew I did it! Lol. Hope you guys liked it! Yes, I dodged a couple questions.. but let’s just overlook that 😛 Catch you guys later!
